Harry's Proudly Supports The Trevor Project

This year, we’ve partnered with Harry’s on an inspiring campaign that spotlights the protective factors that positively impact mental health in the LGBTQ+ community. Throughout the month of June, Harry’s will share stories written by individuals as letters to their younger selves that reflect on an experience related to their mental health. Supporting each narrative will be insights and resources that encourage people to take action in their community and their own mental health journeys.

As part of supporting this campaign, Harry’s is donating $400,000 to The Trevor Project in 2024, bringing their total contributions to over $2.1 million. This fuels our year-round partnership with the brand, which helps us continue to expand and improve our crisis services, as well as grow awareness among marginalized communities. Together with Harry’s over the last 5 years, we’ve been able to connect nearly 1 million LBGTQ+ youth to life saving care.

In Defense Of Saying Gay/Trans

Last week, we saw the passage of HB 1557, also known as the “Don’t Say Gay/Trans” bill, by the Florida state Senate. This bill will ban classroom instruction on sexual orientation and gender identity in schools, and appears to threaten LGBTQ support in schools and includes vague parental notification requirements which could effectively “out” students to their families without their consent. The 25th Anniversary of TrevorLifeline

August 11 is an anniversary that defines Trevor’s legacy. The Trevor Project’s formal founding occurred on March 25, 1998, but August 11 marks the 25-year anniversary of the launch of TrevorLifeline, the first 24/7 national lifeline supporting LGBTQ youth in crisis.  The Academy Award®-winning short film, “Trevor,” a story about an LGBTQ teen who attempts suicide, was set to air nationally on HBO on August 11.
